Canoptek Spyder [1]

Here's the Spyder I've been working on for my sons Necron force. He's busy painting the warriors while I do this special unit for him. Great model, with lots of opportunities to paint some nice glow effects. I've gone with an orange rather than the traditional green, although some elements do feature that as well.

The base coat was a black/green mix applied with airbrush, then I carefully sprayed in the metallic elements to save time. The metal were all washed with Badab Black for shading then highlighted with Mithril Silver.


The black panels were edge highlighted with green. Various bronze metal details have been added. I'm finishing up the detail now such as the various tools hanging from the underside arms.
