• Truscale Stormraven [3]

So i've nearly finished all the assembly on the Truscale Stormraven. As its much larger i'm going with the transport configuration, and will probably add a couple of escort gunships to go with it later.

I've fitted it out with the twin-linked assault cannons and the typhoon missile launcher which should hopefully be able to rip through ground targets and small vehicles.

I've used some spare Grey Knights parts and made a Grey Knight pilot to fit into the cockpit.

I'm using Green Stuff to fill any gaps, or repair any damage to the resin body parts. The new Liquid Green Stuff works well with small resin pits or fine seams, but doesn't fill large seams very well. It's difficult to get into a large gap and tends to pull away from the edges leaving the gap visible. So i'll probably have to stick with the traditional Green Stuff for the big gaps. I expect it will work really well with fixing the small pits that are still showing up in the Finecast models. Although I'd like to hope that Games Workshop will continue improving its Finecast product - a couple of the models have been really bad. My Inquisitor Karamazov was particularly malformed on some of the chair parts, around the legs especially.

Hopefully I'll be able to start painting it tomorrow night. I'll need to get some more spray paint, although I may give the airbrush a whirl for doing the colored bands around the cockpit nose.
